Personally, it was a really restful time, spent with family. It really did feel like i was amongst family actually, comfort to share with them and kinda just be. Theres been some real struggles recently, to stay faithful, to hold onto God's promises and declare them in my life. Saturday night was actually really frustrating, i knew God was there, i could see Him moving, i knew His presence was there, and it was so challenging to let that be enough. It seems to me that i really need God to come, His power in my life, but still theres just this...silence, and lack of feeling His presence. Its learning to not depend on the flesh, on the feelings in me, but to stand on His promises. He's encouraging though, was reading John, where Jesus goes to spend a meal with Lazarus and his family, and Mary opens her alabastar jar and pours it on Jesus's feet, washing them with her hair and this perfume, her dowry. She gets chided actually, by Judas, and Jesus says "Leave her alone." (John 12). Then i realised that He would say this over me too, to those desires, to the power of sin. That through this He is still there, He is still protecting me, He is still in charge and He is still winning the fight for my soul. He will keep saying "Leave her alone", thank God there is power in His voice. This is a time to get involved in His work, to see His power moving, to stay faithful. Theres the challenge to keep pursuing Him, to not get discouraged time-after-time when its hard to read the bible, and pray, but to keep going back - to keep seeking God, because this won't last forever and i don't want to miss the time when He pours out. Im totally wiped after this weekend, i guess it comes off the back of a fortnight of little sleep! But, today has been a nice day of rest, having my sister at home is fun.
The snowball fight we had in wales was awesome, it lasted aaaaages, no forts or anything, but just open space and about a foot of fluffy snow. :D fun times. Had a really gd time just enjoying the company, witnessing the madness of these guys and laughing hard at their humour. :) And it was awesome chatting to Daren n Gavin about their missions experiences.
I finished my essay! YES! :D

in the snow fight, when terence chased after me and then i turned around and rugby tackled him all i heard from him was "oh no! oh no! oh no..."

was a bit scared i'd hurt the poor guy...even though he ran into my neck! that is until he started moving, which was the cue to then shove lots of snow into his face :D

first proper battle in years, nostalgia...ahhhh...
