I am tres glad that, on that beautiful day when my dad had an afro, and my mum had a boyfriend...(!) they met and started uh...courtship? (reminded of josh harris...and consequently...ed :P) Otherwise, they wouldn't have gotten married, and chris n i wouldn't be alive. so...hoorah for them meeting! Together, they're kind of an odd couple. i say it in the best way, but they're pretty much opposites, my dad loves peace and quiet, my mum loves noise, my dad likes reading, my mums more of a TV person, my dad is a sport-playing maniac, my mum loves to watch it...[insert long list of opposites...]...but...somehow, it works. In all ways they seem to compliment each other...in their work...in their parenting...in their individual crazynesses.
Me and chris have had it good by the way of parents...they rock at their job. (well...they're learning like the rest of em :P) My dad is the objective, advice giving parent...my mum is the more subjective...emotional-support giving parent...and in them we've found stability and bucket loads of love. Through everything, they've always managed to keep going and in doing so, kept us going too...and i have so much respect for them. For the insanely hard work they do to keep us clothed and fed, for the strength they've shown and given us and others, for the love they show other people, for their seemingly inate ability to just give and all those other reasons which i cant remember because its late.
Celebrating their anniversary is always fun, a Ho-family meal, always complete with arguments about where to eat :P, but generally full of good food and uh...crazed spazness.
I guess its just a good day to remember that even though this family is far from perfect, that even though we have problems which never seem to be sorted out, that even though theres all those things which i guess every family has and tries to hide under the carpet, really, im just glad i have them. A photo taken...not tooo long ago....

Fast forwarding to today...its...christinas bday! My wierd but beautiful sister who is getting taller than me, and is wearing all my clothes. Its so bizzare that shes now 14...moving onto GCSE's...bigger and...uh...better things! Theres been so many good times with ma amigo/sister, talkings about everything till early hours of the morn, dancing around rooms and streets, falling into buckets, smelling of..uh...smells, making of presents, making of food...cakes! running around random cities, skipping around blackpool, riding unsafe but fun rides, taking endless photos, playing barbies (ah...the good ol days...), pollypockets, LEGO! swings! botnaics garden...climbing of trees...holidays in small buildings...chalets! roller skating/bike riding...swimming...centreparcs! Jelly :D
